Attorney Terence Naughton Joins Krzak Rundio Gorman, Injury Attorneys

Published on Aug 9, 2019 at 3:14 pm in News.

Krzak Rundio Gorman, Injury Attorneys proudly welcomes Attorney Terence Naughton, who goes by “Terry”, to our team. A Chicago native, raised in the South Side, Terry has always called our city home, and now he protects its injured citizens as a personal injury trial attorney.

Terry’s past work as a defense attorney is an asset to our clients in injury cases. He has spent time working on the opponent’s side, so he understands how the defense operates and any potential tactics they might utilize. With him on our side and in our client’s corner, our firm is further strengthened in the fight for the rights of those who have been wrongfully injured.

As part of our law group, he represents victims of serious injuries in wrongful death, product liability, construction negligence, workplace accidents, and transportation negligence cases. Not only does it help us that he was a defense attorney prior to working with us, but it also helps that he specifically worked with construction companies and other similar businesses. His in-depth knowledge of both sides of these cases will help us better serve victims of these types of accidents.

Family Settles Medical Malpractice Lawsuit for $7 Million

Published on Dec 20, 2018 at 10:20 am in News.

On November 19, 2018, the Estate of Cristian Flores settled a wrongful death and survival action case against the south-suburban hospital where he was born for $7 Million.  Cristian was born with a congenital urinary system blockage that caused a uroseptic infection resulting in organ failure and cardiopulmonary arrest when he was 14 days old.  Cristian suffered a brain injury and lived for five-and-a-half years until he passed away in December, 2017.

The Estate reached a $7 Million settlement with the hospital after the case was assigned to Circuit Court of Cook County Judge Clare Elizabeth McWilliams for trial and the parties argued pre-trial motions and selected a jury.

The Estate claimed that Cristian’s mother’s May 30, 2012, fetal ultrasound was improperly interpreted as normal when, in reality, the ultrasound showed several abnormal findings in Cristian’s bladder and kidneys indicative of a urinary system blockage.  If this had been detected by the radiologist, Cristian would have been monitored prenatally and he would have been seen by a pediatric urologist after birth and the condition would have been detected and successfully treated before Cristian became ill.  The Estate argued that the radiologist who negligently read the ultrasound was an apparent agent of the hospital.

Watch 10 p.m. CBS Channel 2 News Tonight – Dave Savini Reports on Krzak Rundio Gorman, Injury Attorneys Case of Autistic Child Repeatedly Struck by Bus Aide and Verbally Threatened by Bus Driver

Published on May 11, 2018 at 1:24 pm in News.

CBS Channel 2 Investigative Reporter Dave Savini will report exclusively tonight on the case of a partially verbal autistic nine-year-old boy who was repeatedly slapped and hit by a bus aide over a period of months who was given the responsibility of safely getting children to and from school.

Instead of providing a safe haven on the bus, appalling video reveals how the bus aide, who was convicted in criminal court in DuPage County, taunted and even slapped the child who was unable to communicate for months because of his autistic condition. Video also reveals how the bus driver verbally threatened to throw the child off the bus and urged the bus aide to strike him. His mother requested that video be pulled off of the bus after her son’s behavior changed, and he was terrified to get on the bus. Tapes downloaded from the bus showed how the aide, along with the school bus driver from First Student, mistreated the boy. The aide stood misdemeanor charges in DuPage County where she was found guilty on the counts she was charged with. The bus driver pled guilty to a disorderly conduct charge brought by the City of Naperville. Both were fired from the company.

Savini investigates this tragic case tonight. Krzak Rundio Gorman, Injury Attorneys along with Clifford Law Offices filed a lawsuit to get to the bottom of what occurred so it will not happen to other helpless students in the Naperville school district and elsewhere.

Be sure to turn in for all of the details tonight at 10 p.m. on Channel 2.
